From Bahnhof Rheinsberger Tor
through Innenstadt to Seepromenade
The cycle route starts at Bahnhof Rheinsberger Tor and runs
through Innenstadt from Neuruppin towards Seepromenade.
Along the way, cyclists experience a charming combination of urban history,
green spaces and Neuruppiner See.
Part of the route runs through a small park and
passes Kulturkirche Sankt Marien.
The former parish church was built between 1801 and 1806 in the neoclassical style.
Since 2001, the deconsecrated church building has been used as a cultural church and
event venue for concerts, conferences and
other events.
Further on, the route passes the heritage-listed Predigerwitwenhaus
on Fischbänkenstraße.
The building was erected in 1735 and 1736 and
is one of the few houses
to have survived the great town fire of 1787.
Predigerwitwenhaus is closely linked to the history of Neuruppins.
The young Karl Friedrich Schinkel lived here with his family for several years.
Theodor Fontane’s mother later lived there,
and her son visited her several times.
From historic Innenstadt
the route continues to Seepromenade.
There, you can enjoy a view of Neuruppiner See, and
the tour ends beautifully right by the water.
